People who are not fully vaccinated will still need to take a pre-departure test before returning to the UK, as well as a PCR test on days two and eight after they return. They must also self-isolate for 10 days at home, as per the rules for amber list countries under the traffic light system.
This is usually no problem for those who are fully vaccinated or have proof of a recent infection as either of these will grant a traveller with a Covid passport.
